Taylor Rochestie is the Exact Opposite of Simon Cowell
April 10, 2008 — GradyFrom the Evergreen:
As he sang out the first verse of “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain, the crowd waved their glowing cell phones in the air. The cheering began in earnest as he belted out the first line of “Let’s Get it On” by Marvin Gaye. On Friday night, freshman communication major Jared Cadwell became the winner of the first Cougar Idol competition, hosted by the Rogers Hall government in Beasley Coliseum.
“Hell yeah! That’s baby-making music right there,” said WSU basketball guard Taylor Rochestie – a junior communication major who served as one of the judges – when Cadwell finished his performance of “I’ll Be.”
Also, a programming note: I’ll be on a brief hiatus this weekend due to an exam on Friday and a family event in California over the weekend. WordPress keeps track of site hits, and shockingly a good number of people actually read this, and I want to thank you all for the support. Stay tuned for #7 of my top 10 Cougar plays - we’re getting into the really good stuff now.

Grady,
From time to time I check out your stuff. It’s all good! Rather than use RSS to follow your work, my updates come through Google Reader.
IMHO, your blog is awesome. Keep up the great work!
Have a great weekend with the family.
